(Makhachkala Multiple-discipline Lyceum)
Abstract The language and style of the story “A Kidnapped Girl”, written by a famous in Dagestan writer M. A. Bashaev, are studied in the article. The author exposes a number of language layers of the story. All this is evidence of richness and expressiveness of the modern Lak language used by the author.
Keywords: language layers, dialectisms, archaisms, barbarisms, copulative composites, kind wishes, interjections, toponyms, writer’s idiostyle.
