Abstract ◊ The article deals with the fundamental concepts of M. M. Bakhtin's philosophy that regard the features of text functioning within both the framework of one culture and in the system of dialogue of cultures. Basing on her practical teaching experience the author discusses the ways of practical implementation of Bakhtin's ideas into the process of foreign languages teaching.
