Abstract ♦ The authors analyze representations regarding some outstanding Russian public figures of the past on the basis of an empirical research. These conceptualizations can be discovered in the collective memory of three age groups of people. In accordance with the findings of the research, the rating of the most significant persons of Russian history was determined and their main characteristics given by the respondents were revealed.
