Abstract ◊ The authors consider corruption as one of the main problems of contempo-rary Russia and investigate its psychological aspect. They cover such opportunities of psychological science and practice for the countermeasures against venality as the alteration of a tolerant attitude to it in our society, the mobilization of population for the fight against it, the psychological monitoring of legislative drafts, the testing of official establishment with the use of special psychological methods, etc.
