Gladilin N. V. “Pop Writer” Christian Kracht as a Phenomenon of Postmodernist Situation

Abstract ◊ The oeuvre of modern German-language writer Ch. Kracht, which is usually identified as pop literature, is at the same time an appropriate reflection of “postmodernist situation”. Kracht’s works are marked by such features as the pluralism of possible reality modes, feeble intensity of subjectiveness, focus on consumerism, loss of the target and meaning of individual existence.
