Solovieva L. T. Sub-ethnonym Samurzakantsy: the History and Modernity (the Problem of Use and Interpretations in Human Sciences Courses)

Abstract ◊ The article draws attention to the necessity of correct use of ethnonyms and sub-ethnonyms. The author considers the history of appearance of the sub-ethnonym of samurzakantsy, which served to designate the population of the region of Samurzakano. This region is situated in the zone of Abkhazian and Georgian frontier on the territory between the rivers Inguri and Galidzga/Aaldzga.
